Monique Péan inaugurated her eponymous brand in 2006 with a will to create the premier environmentally friendly fine jewellery collection. Inspired by architecture, nature and American minimalist art, her sculptural pieces are made with unique and sustainable materials such as recycled gold, fossilised walrus ivory and fossilised dinosaur bones. The brand has been crowned with four CFDA Awards and chosen by ambassadors such as Michelle Obama, Emma Watson and Liya Kebede.

Monique Péan launched the premier brand of socially responsible and environmentally friendly fine jewellery ten years ago. She partners with artisans around the world to support traditional craftsmanship. Her pieces are hand-made by master artisans in New York City using sustainable materials sourced through fair trade initiatives.

Passionate about art and architecture, Monique Péan turns to pieces and artists that have inspired her through her travels to develop her collections. The Japanese architect Tadao Ando is showcased in her KOYO Collection, while the «Sun Tunnels» installation by Nancy Holt, a pioneer in American minimalism, was the jumping-off point for her Solcin collection. She also pays tribute to artist Walter de Maria in a capsule collection launched to support Dia Art Foundation. Moreover, she collaborates with iconic contemporary artists such as Collier Schorr, who contributed to her latest collection.

Monique Péan raises awareness of art, culture and environmental protection through design. Some of the proceeds from her sales contribute to global charities that provide water and sanitation to developing countries. She also founded the Vanessa Péan Foundation, which raises funds to provide scholarships to underprivileged students in Haiti. Monique is a founding board member of Beespace, a nonprofit incubator that helps to identify and launch the next generation of innovative nonprofits.
