LE SUD

HÔTEL LE SUD - A TRIBUTE TO THE CÔTE D’AZUR’S GOLDEN AGE. THIS NEW HOTEL IN JUAN LE PINS, BETWEEN NICE AND CANNES, WAS DESIGNED BY INTERIOR DESIGNER STÉPHANIE LIZÉE AS A TIMELESS, MINDFUL LIVING SPACE, WHERE THE ARTISTIC SPIRIT AND GENTLE LIFESTYLE OF THE CÔTE D’AZUR SET THE TONE.

Just steps away from the beaches, the Hôtel Le Sud offers a special hotel experience in the area. It is an intimate, welcoming spot, a great place to stay during an escapade to the French Riviera. The three-star hotel, with 29 rooms, a bar and a large terrace open to all, was launched by a family from the region. Interior designer Stéphanie Lizée did her own subtle take on the traditional style of southern France, where the plastered walls, sandstone, terracotta, stripes and wicker blend perfectly with second-hand objects found in the area and custom- designed furniture, most made by local craftsmen. The spirit of southern France shines through, updated and reinterpreted in an unpretentious and genuine style. The region’s artistic and cultural wealth was a major source of inspiration, both for the palette of colors and for the graphic elements and decoration. The hotel is imbued with the souls of Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Jean Cocteau and the ceramicists of Vallauris—a tribute to the radiant Côte d’Azur that so inspired these mid-20- century artists. This artistic influence was also the underlying theme adopted by artist Franck Lebraly, who designed the hotel’s logo, the murals and the artwork in the rooms. Paris-based interior designer Stéphanie Lizée graduated from the Académie Charpentier, and created her own studio in 2017 after working in different firms for several years. She has designed interiors for private homes; restaurants, with the Django in Paris; and shops, including the Roseanna label and The Socialite Family. The Hôtel Le Sud is her first hotel.
