GALERIE DIURNE

FOUNDED IN 1982, GALERIE DIURNE WAS CREATED BY PAINTER MARCEL ZELMANOVITCH AS A WAY TO MAKE HIS ART COME ALIVE THROUGH THE RICH AND VARIED MEDIUM OF WOVEN MATERIAL.

Insatiably curious about the people and things around him, he began the gallery with the Signature Collections, a series that expertly illustrates the mission of Galerie DIURNE : creating unique pieces for private orders, in partnership with and for clients, individuals, architects and decorators.
Zelmanovitch, a textile expert, brings his savoir-faire to a space for artists to design rugs that will eventually be placed ideally in the interior they were designed for. Combining its excellent rugs with a catalogue of varied and exceptional weaves (mohair, linen, natural silk, etc.), the Galerie creates bespoke handmade art for unique interiors and has worked with some the world’s most well-known decorators (Jean-Louis Deniot, Studio Ko, Robert A.M. Stern, Francis Sultana, Claude Missir, etc.).
